New Gadget

This was in my latest haul from Dollarama. I can’t believe how much stuff I bring home from that place, I’m gonna have to go in a twelve step program. I bought a couple of these for the studio… and then went back for more for the garden for which they were intended. Maybe they'll be used in the garden, maybe not, depends how well they will spray glaze. They're great for a water gun - pump them up once and they stay pressurized for hours.

Hi Colleen - I love reading all these blogs around the world - thanks for commenting - amazing to connect with potters and see their passion for clay. I think we all complain about that ellusive element called time. Where do you get the time to produce such great work living on a farm.

Dollarama - we have 'Crazy Clarks' and '2 Dollar' shops over here and they are great for bargain buys but my closest is an hour and half plane trip or a gruelling 8 - 10 hour trip over mostly dirt roads in the dry season - roads have only just opened again after the 'wet'- so my access to cheap buys is limited but I still love where I live as I can see you do.
Happy potting

Hi Lyn,
Connecting to other potters and sharing "the clay experience" is my reason for blogging ! Usually by the time I go through the lengthy creative process, my mind is on to the next idea and it's seems passe' to take pictures and put it out there on my blog. I'm making a conscious decision this year (new years resolution) to get over that and see what happens. I enjoy reading, seeing and connecting with other potters so much that I want to make some kind of a contribution - you know; get some, give some.
There are alot of similarities between the farm lifestyle and the lifestyle of a potter. I feel both lifestyles demand a full commitment so I do feel alot of pressure and tugging from the two directions.
The way you integrate your surroundings into your clay work is wonderful.

...the first step is admitting you're addicted. But really - you've done some really neat things with all the stuff you find at Dollarama!

Yes, Jenna, all journeys begin with the first step !
Maybe the next step is to find a sponsor ? Weren't you the one to introduce me to Dollarama ??? How far along the road to recovery are you !

Have you tried spraying glaze yet? I have a feeling it might clog up, but I'd like to hear how it went
